Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls Journey

“The force of falling water. An impression which will last for a lifetime.”

The Niagara Falls an exceptional location, a combination of history, beauty, and eye inspiration.

One of the greatest natural wonders, located at the border of Ontario Province of Canada and New York State of America. Romantic atmosphere, with panoramic walking area and restaurants along the side. A place where aside of nature there is plenty of activity for families, group of friends and couples as honeymoon destination.

The 19th century Europe Visitors

I read that in the 19th century, in spite of the logistical challenges, Niagara Falls had European visitors as well, such as Jerome Bonaparte (youngest brother of Napoleon Bonaparte) and his wife Elizabeth Patterson. All of this is known by the historical novel “Ambitious Madame Bonaparte”, written by Ruth Hull Chatlien. Already at that point in time the magical place mesmerized it’s visitors.

Most happening place Cliffton Hill

At Niagara Falls Clifton Hill is the most happening hill street buzzing with all the activity, wine and dine, bars, attractions for kids, Casino, Sky wheel, Skylon Tower and last but not the least Niagara Falls, all at walking distance. Best place to stay around this area.

The Hornblower Cruise

Explore magnificent Niagara Falls, the power of nature. A must do activity is The Hornblower cruise just at the bottom of Clifton hill at Niagara Parkway Queen Victoria Park. Tickets can be bought on the spot, however do check itinerary well in advance. During winters this ride is closed.

Niagara Falls is a combination of three waterfalls

Cruise takes you past the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and finally into the heart of Horse Shoe falls.

Experienced enormous volume of water, turbulent wind and massive water spray in the air, which made us all wet, giving feeling of heavy rain. Between the rocks on the turbulent water, we could feel the force of dropping water. The powerful, petrifying roar of water got sweetened by the beautiful rainbow, which complemented the scene. While cruise line provides rain coats, do take care of your belongings.

Journey behind the Falls

Came back mesmerized from the cruise for our next destination ‘Journey Behind the falls’, which is small walk towards the Table Rock Welcome center.

Entrance was fast and easy (here also you will be provided with rain coats), it does take a bit of time to reach at the Observation deck just next to the magnificent Horse Shoe falls.

Walking behind the falls we reached small cabins from where we saw water falling right in front of us. Cadence of the water was thundering, felt it till my heart.

Time for some munch and fireworks

After a lot of walk and activity, was time for the well-deserved food at Elements on the Falls restaurant at the Table rock, with some great views of the falls from both inside and outside dining area.

Since we did not pre-book, miss dinner at Skylon tower, which we heard is good due to views from significant height. Decided to move around ever happening Clifton hill for dinner at Kelsey’s restaurant, with amazing collection of food and drinks, ambience and live music. Clifton Hill is buzzing with music, lights and action all around.

Before closing our day, we went again towards Niagara Falls to have beautiful view of Falls illuminated glowing with the beautiful colors. We also could forget ourselves into the mesmerizing Fireworks, which happened each Friday and Sunday during summer. Schedule for fireworks can be checked online.
